Dallas Business Journal recognizes WiNGS CEO among 18 outstanding North Texas leaders.
DALLAS, May 2022 – Kate Rose Marquez, CEO of WiNGS, has been named to Dallas Business Journal’s 2022 list of Most Admired CEOs. The distinction honors leaders in North Texas who deliver outstanding performances in guiding their companies to success and contributing to the overall growth of the local business community.
“Kate Rose is a force to be reckoned with and an inspiration to those who inspire others, employing the most important qualities of a good leader – integrity, accountability and empathy,” said Ellen Farrell, Chief Legal and Compliance Officer at Toyota Financial Services and WiNGS board member. “She has made bold decisions affecting WiNGS’ physical presence, financial sustainability and infrastructure to support clients, which has helped the organization emerge from the pandemic stronger and more resilient with a clear vision for the future.”
The 2022 class of Most Admired CEOs includes 18 business leaders across several industries — from nonprofits to banking and finance, real estate to public relations and marketing, tech to logistics and manufacturing, and restaurants to food and beverage.
“I’m honored to be named among so many inspirational business leaders in North Texas,” Kate Rose said. “This distinction couldn’t have been possible without the many contributions of our WiNGS board and staff, whose work inspires me every day. Every decision we make keeps the women we serve and the mission we hold dear as our north star.”
The individuals listed as 2022 Most Admired CEOs are honored not only for great stewardship of their companies but specifically for cultivating an inclusive, collaborative culture. These are North Texans that inspire those around them, hold their employees, products and services in the highest regard, run their companies with integrity and are excellent examples of how all companies should be run and managed.
“With a unique culture that is guided by a diverse leadership team, WiNGS embraces and celebrates the cognitive, ethnic, sexual-orientation and socio-economic diversity that is represented by our organization,” Kate Rose said. “We seek to understand our clients, our peers and the community in which we serve through active listening, collaboration and respect.”
Under Kate Rose’s leadership, WiNGS was able to surmount the challenges of the past few years and continue providing free and vital services to the most vulnerable – communities of color and those with limited English proficiency, single-income households, women at risk of intimate partner violence and financial insecurity, and small business owners. In 2020-2021, WiNGS served and empowered nearly 2,000 clients through its Nurse Family Partnership and Economic Advancement Programs.
Through embarking on a strategic plan, Kate Rose and the WiNGS team were able to identify and articulate the organization’s vision for the next 3-5 years. They were able to map out a geographic area that demonstrated where the greatest need for WiNGS programming is, and are actively working to increase access to ensure its services are available to more women in Dallas.
Kate Rose and the other honorees will be recognized at an event on June 16. For more information and to view the full list of the 2022 Most Admired CEOs, click here.
